Water softener Clack WS1CI Ideal 8 L

The Ideal is a single-unit water softener, with resin tank and salt tank combined in one housing. The 8 L format is the most compact in the range: 645 mm high by 225 mm wide, it fits under a sink or in a technical cupboard. White tank and blue cover. Clack WS1CI valve with volumetric regeneration.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve initiates brine regeneration. The integrated turbine measures the volume consumed and triggers the cycle by volume, not by clock: the unit regenerates only when necessary.

Installation and maintenance

Installed on the main water inlet, after the meter. The bypass allows the unit to be isolated for maintenance without cutting off the water supply. Angled connectors 3/4" are supplied, which limits additional purchases at installation. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration parameters. Routine maintenance is limited to filling the salt tank and periodic checks.

Salt and consumables

Both models share the same footprint and the same valve. The choice is made based on water hardness in °fH and the number of people in the household. The 8 L covers a small home and fits under a sink. The 18 L spaces regenerations over a higher-consumption household, which reduces salt and water consumption per unit volume treated.
