Water softener Clack Legend Myra 18 L, black - ref. CLACK-LEGEND-MYRA-18-NOIR

Water softener Clack Legend Myra 18 L, black

The Myra is a monobloc water softener, resin tank and salt brine tank combined in a single unit, for apartments and individual homes. It reduces water hardness, which is responsible for scale build-up in hot water tanks, pipework and household appliances. Food-grade ion exchange resin and Clack Legend electronic valve with volumetric regeneration. Black finish, cover and tank.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically triggers brine regeneration. Triggering is volumetric, so indexed to the volume of water actually consumed: no regeneration during absence, no overshoot after a busy weekend.

Why soften water

Hard water deposits scale in pipework, hot water tanks and heating elements. Energy consumption increases, appliances wear out faster and taps become scaled. By reducing hardness, the softener extends the life of equipment, limits excess energy consumption linked to scale and reduces the quantities of soaps and detergents required.

The Clack Legend valve

Electronic control, volumetric cycle management and accessible settings to adjust wash and rinse to water quality. Proportional mixing adjusts residual hardness at outlet rather than delivering zero °fH water. Dual safety protects against salt tank overflow. Composite tank and selected resin for stable performance and contained salt and water consumption.

Day to day

Fewer limescale marks on taps, shower and dishes. Softer laundry and cleaning products effective in smaller quantities. The water heater and washing machine retain their efficiency longer, limiting energy consumption and maintenance calls. The unit is compact and quiet, and its black finish blends into contemporary interiors as well as technical rooms.

Installation and maintenance

Installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with the by-pass allowing the unit to be isolated for maintenance without cutting off the home's water supply. Commissioning consists of setting inlet hardness and regeneration parameters. Routine maintenance is limited to filling the salt tank and periodic checks. DIMM ensures the availability of spare parts and technical support.

Choosing the right capacity

Resin volume is chosen according to water hardness in °fH and the number of people in the household. An undersized unit regenerates too often, which wears the resin and increases salt consumption. The 18 L covers an average-sized household. DIMM teams support installers on sizing.

Quality and compliance

High-pressure FRP composite tank, food-grade ion exchange resin, Clack valve, materials in contact with water compliant, CE design. Each unit is assembled and tested by DIMM, with warranty and after-sales service in Belgium and France.

Salt and consumables

The unit operates on regeneration salt pellets, to be maintained in the tank. The resupply frequency depends on hardness and consumption. Periodic resin cleaner is recommended. Salt, hoses, fittings and compatible maintenance parts are in the DIMM catalogue.
