Presentation
These brass fittings are used to install a water meter DN 25. They provide the connection between the meter threads and those of the pipeline. The meter remains removable for replacement, calibration or maintenance.
Threads
- Nut: female thread 1" 1/4 (33/42), meter side
- Socket: conical male thread R 1" (26/34), network side
The R thread is a conical thread (BSPT): sealing is achieved on the thread, using an appropriate sealant (PTFE tape, hemp and paste, or resin).
Installation
The socket is screwed onto the pipeline or isolation valve. The nut then tightens the meter, with a flat gasket between the nut and the meter body. Respect the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the meter. Provide sufficient straight length upstream and downstream to ensure measurement accuracy.
Use
These fittings are used for mounting DN 25 meters on the water inlet of an installation, on the supply to a water softener or a filter with volumetric regeneration, or on a metering circuit. Brass ensures good mechanical strength and long service life in cold water.
Compatibility
These fittings are suitable for DN 25 meters whose body is threaded in 1" 1/4. The DIMM team will help you verify compatibility with your meter.
