2 BRASS FITTINGS FOR DN 50 METERS - NUT THREAD 2 1/2" (66/76) SOCKET THREAD R 2" (50/60) - ref. DHRAC-50

This set of 2 brass fittings is used to install a DN 50 water meter. One fitting is mounted on the inlet, the other on the outlet. They connect the meter to the pipework, and the meter remains removable for replacement, calibration or maintenance.

Threads

• Nut: female thread 2" 1/2 (66/76), meter side
• Socket: male conical thread R 2" (50/60), network side

The R thread is a conical thread (BSPT): sealing is achieved on the thread, with an appropriate sealing product (PTFE tape, hemp and paste, or resin).

Installation

The sockets are screwed onto the pipework or isolation valves. The nuts then tighten the meter, with a flat gasket between each nut and the meter body. Respect the flow direction indicated by the arrow on the meter. Sufficient straight length must be provided upstream and downstream to ensure measurement accuracy.

Use

These fittings are used for mounting DN 50 meters on the water inlet of a building or site, on the supply of a water softener or a volumetric regeneration filter, or on a high-flow metering circuit. Brass ensures good mechanical strength and long service life in cold water.
