20" PP Fibre Cartridge 1 Micron NSF Aquapro PR-PPS-20-1

Aquapro 20" cartridge, wound PP fibre 1 micron, NSF

The PR-PPS-20-1 is a filter cartridge in wound polypropylene fibre, 20" format. Rated at 1 micron, it retains the fine particles that pre-filter cartridges let through: silt, suspended clay, fine rust, particles carried from the mains.

1 micron: a polishing stage

1 micron is not a pre-filtration rating. Used alone on loaded water, a cartridge like this clogs within days. It is designed as a final stage of mechanical filtration, installed behind one or two coarser cartridges (50, 25 or 10 µm) that take the bulk of the load.

Correctly staged, it delivers visually clear water and effectively protects sensitive equipment.

Why the 20" format

20" doubles the filtration area of a standard 10" cartridge. That is exactly what a rating this fine needs: pressure drop stays acceptable, flow holds up, and the interval between replacements doubles. At 1 micron, the 20" format is not a comfort but a practical necessity.

Applications

Polishing stage at the point of entry, protection upstream of an RO system or UV lamp, whose transmittance it noticeably improves by clarifying the water, hospitality circuits, laboratories and processes requiring clear water.

Media and maintenance

The NSF certified PP media is neutral in contact with drinking water: no taste, no odour, no leaching. Watch pressure drop closely at this rating: clogging comes faster than with a coarse cartridge, and a poorly maintained upstream pre-filter shows up here immediately.

Requires a 20" filter housing. Aquapro reference PR-PPS-20-1.
