Water softener Clack Legend Arca 12 L
The Arca is a compact all-in-one unit where the resin vessel and salt tank are housed in a single casing, supplied without cover with white tank. With 12 L of resin on an 8 x 24 vessel, it covers an apartment or small household whilst maintaining a reduced footprint. It reduces water hardness, responsible for scale buildup in the hot water tank, pipework and appliances. Clack Legend electronic valve with volumetric regeneration.
Operation
Hard water passes through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water exits softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve initiates brine regeneration, followed by rinsing, before returning to service. Triggering is volumetric, indexed to the volume of water actually consumed, which prevents empty regenerations during absence.

Why soften water
Hard water deposits scale in pipework, the hot water tank and heating elements. Energy consumption increases, appliances wear faster and taps become scaled. By reducing hardness, the softener extends the service life of equipment and reduces the quantities of soaps and detergents required.
The Arca range
The Arca covers small resin volumes. It is the answer to space constraints: apartment, rental accommodation, cramped technical room. Delivery without cover reduces overall height, useful under a worktop or in a low cupboard.
The Clack Legend valve
Electronic control, volumetric cycle management and accessible settings to adjust wash and rinse to water quality. The proportional mixing adjusts residual hardness at outlet rather than delivering zero °fH water. Dual safety protects against salt tank overflow.
Installation and maintenance
Installed on the main water inlet, after the meter. The bypass allows the unit to be isolated for maintenance without cutting off the household water supply. Commissioning by setting inlet hardness and regeneration parameters. Routine maintenance limited to filling the salt tank and periodic inspection.
Choosing the right capacity
Resin volume is selected according to water hardness in °fH and number of household occupants, not on the number of draw-off points. An undersized unit regenerates too frequently, which wears the resin and increases salt consumption. The 12 L covers an apartment or small household.
Quality and compliance
High-pressure FRP composite vessel, food-grade ion exchange resin, Clack valve, materials in contact with water compliant, CE design. Each unit is assembled and tested by DIMM.
Salt and consumables
Regeneration salt in pellet form, to be maintained in the tank. Periodic resin cleaner is recommended. Salt, hoses, fittings and maintenance parts compatible are in the DIMM catalogue.
