Presentation

This twin-tank water softener combines a resin bottle 13x54 containing 75 litres of ion exchange resin and a separate round salt tank of 145 L. It is suitable for small buildings, tertiary sector, hospitality and professional premises with high water consumption. With its large capacity tank, salt refills are spaced further apart.

Clack Legend electronic volumetric valve

The Clack Legend valve automatically controls the softener cycles: service, backwash, brine draw, rinse and tank refill. In volumetric regeneration, it triggers regeneration based on the volume of water actually consumed, not at fixed intervals. Salt and water are thus used as efficiently as possible.

Mixing and by-pass

The mixing function allows reintroduction of a portion of raw water to achieve the desired residual hardness at outlet, in °fH, rather than water at 0 °fH. The by-pass isolates the softener without cutting off water supply, for maintenance or servicing.

Twin-tank format

In twin-tank configuration, the resin bottle and salt tank are two separate units. They can be positioned freely according to available space, and salt refilling remains easily accessible.

Installation

Install the softener in a frost-free location, on level ground capable of supporting the weight of the filled bottle and tank, close to a drain connection for regeneration discharge and tank overflow. Provide an electrical supply for the valve. An upstream sediment pre-filter is recommended to protect the resin and valve. The softener is supplied without fittings: provide fittings suitable for the valve and pipework.
