Water softener Clack WS1CI Austin 18 L, white - ref. CLACK-WS1CI-AUSTIN-18-BLANC

Water softener CLACK Austin, 18 L resin

The CLACK Austin softener is a compact all-in-one model (resin and salt tank integrated) designed for apartments and individual homes. It removes hardness (limescale) responsible for scaling in water heaters, pipework and appliances, for softer water that is more pleasant for skin, hair and laundry, and more economical in energy and maintenance products. It combines food-grade ion exchange resin and a Clack WS1 valve, the world reference for reliability. White finish with refined design, which fits into a utility room as well as a living space.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water comes out softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically triggers regeneration with brine (water + salt), controlled by volume to consume only the salt and water strictly necessary.

Technical specifications

Why soften your water?

Hard water deposits scale in pipework, the hot water tank and heating elements: energy consumption rises, appliances wear out and taps become scaled. By removing hardness, the softener extends the life of equipment, reduces energy bills, decreases the use of soaps and detergents and makes water softer in daily use.

The CLACK Austin range

The Austin range combines controlled footprint, economical regeneration and a Clack WS1 valve, the world reference for reliability. Composite bottle, selected resin and volumetric control guarantee stable performance and low salt and water consumption, the right balance between performance, discretion and durability for residential use.

The comfort of soft water every day

Beyond equipment protection, softened water transforms daily life: fewer limescale marks on taps, shower and dishes, softer laundry, skin and hair less irritated, and maintenance products more effective in smaller quantities. The water heater and washing machine retain their efficiency longer, which reduces energy consumption and breakdowns. Compact and silent, the unit works continuously while remaining unobtrusive.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass allowing isolation for maintenance. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration time; maintenance is limited to salt refilling and periodic inspection. DIMM ensures the availability of spare parts and technical support throughout the life of the installation.

Choosing the right capacity

The right resin volume depends on your water hardness (°TH) and the number of people in the household. An undersized model regenerates too often; a well-chosen model spaces out regenerations and optimises salt consumption. If in doubt, our technicians will help you select the capacity best suited to your installation and consumption.

Quality & compliance

High-pressure FRP composite bottle, food-grade ion exchange resin, proven Clack valve, materials in contact with water compliant, CE design. Each softener is assembled and checked by DIMM, with warranty and after-sales service network in Belgium and France.

Salt & consumables

The softener operates with regeneration salt in pellet form, to be maintained in the tank. Depending on hardness and consumption, plan for appropriate replenishment and periodic resin cleaner. DIMM offers salt, hoses, fittings and maintenance parts compatible with associated products.
