Overview

This dual-block water softener combines a resin bottle 16x65 containing 125 litres of ion exchange resin and a separate 350 L round salt tank. It is suitable for apartment buildings, commercial premises, hotels, restaurants and professional sites with high water consumption. With its large-capacity tank, salt refills are spaced well apart.

Clack Legend electronic volumetric valve

The Clack Legend valve automatically controls the softener cycles: service, backwash, brine draw, rinse and tank refill. In volumetric regeneration, it triggers regeneration based on actual water consumption rather than at fixed intervals. Salt and water are used efficiently.

Mixing and by-pass

The mixing function allows raw water to be reintroduced to achieve the desired residual hardness at outlet, in °fH, rather than water at 0 °fH. The by-pass isolates the softener without cutting off water supply, for maintenance or servicing.

Dual-block format

In dual-block configuration, the resin bottle and salt tank are two separate units. They can be positioned freely according to available space, and salt refilling remains easily accessible.

Installation

Install the softener in a frost-free location, on level ground capable of supporting the weight of the filled bottle and tank, close to a drain connection for regeneration discharge and tank overflow. Provide an electrical supply for the valve. A sediment pre-filter upstream is recommended to protect the resin and valve. The softener is supplied without fittings: provide fittings suitable for the valve and pipework.
