White Tubing 3/8" NSF Per Metre | RO & Drinking Water

White 3/8" NSF certified tubing, sold by the metre

Connection tubing with a 3/8" (9.52 mm) outside diameter, in white, NSF certified for contact with water intended for human consumption: no taste, no odour, no leaching.

It pushes straight into standard 3/8" push-fit fittings (John Guest type and equivalents), with no glue and no special tooling.

Why 3/8" rather than 1/4"

3/8" offers a noticeably larger flow section. It is used on lines where pressure drop matters: RO system feed, pressure tank outlet, run to a dispensing tap, water cooler and coffee machine lines.

On the tank outlet in particular, moving from 1/4" to 3/8" makes a clear difference to the flow felt at the tap, a point that comes up often on RO systems judged "too slow".

The NSF certification

The NSF marking confirms that the material in contact with the water is fit for food-grade use. On a drinking water line, that is the reference to insist on, and the one an inspection body will ask for.

Sold by the metre

The tubing comes from a 150 m roll and is cut by the metre. That suits repairs, short runs and site top-ups, without tying up a full roll. For installations in series, the complete roll remains more economical per metre.

Installation

Cut the tubing square with a proper tube cutter for a clean section, then push it fully into the fitting up to the stop. Avoid tight bend radii close to fittings and keep the tubing away from heat sources.

White is translucent, so keep it to runs not exposed to light: for a lit or outdoor run, choose black tubing, which blocks light and prevents algae growth.
