Black 1/4" NSF Tubing, 300 m Roll | RO & Drinking Water

Black 1/4" NSF certified tubing, 300 m roll

Black 1/4" tubing is the opaque version of the standard connection line for water treatment equipment. Made from food-grade polyethylene, it carries water without imparting taste or odour, in line with the sanitary requirements applicable to drinking water.

Why choose black over blue

The difference is not cosmetic. Black blocks light: no photosynthesis means no algae growth inside the tubing. It is the right choice wherever a run stays exposed to daylight or permanent lighting, surface-mounted runs, glazed plant rooms, outdoor installations, lit cellars. Black is also more discreet on a visible installation and ages better under UV.

Packaging designed for installers

The 300-metre roll lowers the cost per metre and prevents run-outs mid-job. The tubing unwinds with minimal coil memory, cuts cleanly and keeps its round section, an essential condition for a leak-free push-fit connection.

Compatibility and applications

This 1/4" tubing pushes straight into standard 1/4" quick-connect fittings (John Guest type and equivalents), with no glue and no special tooling. It serves domestic and professional reverse osmosis systems, water coolers and drinking fountains, coffee machines and beverage dispensers, American-style fridges, as well as dosing lines and softener bypass circuits.

Installation

Cut the tubing square with a proper tube cutter for a clean section, then push it fully into the fitting up to the stop. Avoid tight bend radii close to fittings and keep the tubing away from heat sources.
