WHITE POLYETHYLENE TUBING 5/16'' PER METRE - A1BLANC516-touret

Description

This white 1/2" tubing is used for water connections on treatment equipment: reverse osmosis units, filters, water fountains, ice machines and process water circuits. It is NSF certified, supplied on a 100 m coil, and is suitable for both repeated installations and workshop stock.

Attention to diameter

The 1/2" measures 12.7 mm. This is not a metric 12 mm tube. It must be paired with 1/2" fittings: a tube and fitting of different standards may appear compatible but will not maintain a seal over time.

Fitting compatibility

This tubing is fitted with push-fit quick couplings (John Guest or DMfit type) and with compression fittings (Jaco type) in 1/2".

• Push-fit: the tube is held by a grip ring and the seal is ensured by an O-ring. Assembly is quick and reversible.
• Compression: nut, ferrule and insert. An insert is required to support the tube wall. The ferrule is not reusable after tightening.

Installation

• Cut straight, with a tube cutter, to obtain a clean, perpendicular cut without burrs or crushing.
• Push the tube fully into the push-fit fitting, then pull gently to verify the hold.
• Maintain a sufficient bend radius to avoid kinking or crushing the tube.
• Keep a small length reserve to allow recutting the end during maintenance.

Coil packaging

The 100 m coil allows each connection to be cut to exact length, without multiplying fittings. This is the format suited to installers who regularly fit reverse osmosis units, filters or water fountains.
