Overview

Vessel filter filled with Ecomix multi-layer medium, on a Fleck valve (ref. FL-91-SXT-ECOMIX-025). Vessel 10X35. Valve 9100. This filtration station provides multi-parameter treatment (softening, iron, ammonium), at point of entry to protect the whole installation. Delivered ready to install (filled vessel + valve + distribution), it treats mains, well or borehole water.

Filtration principle

Ecomix is a multi-layer all-in-one medium combining softening, iron/manganese removal and reduction of ammonium and organic matter. Regenerated with salt like a softener, it treats several parameters in a single vessel, ideal for multi-problem well or borehole water.

Ecomix media

The vessel is filled with Ecomix multi-layer medium on a gravel/silex support bed that distributes the water and retains fines. Media volume: 25 L. Depending on the medium, the bed is backwashed (carbon/Ecomix) or topped up as it is consumed (calcite/Corosex/Everzit), to maintain performance over time.

Valve & operation

The 9100 valve automatically drives the cycles: service (filtration), backwash, rinse and return to service (and salt regeneration for Ecomix). Triggering is timed or metered per model; a built-in bypass isolates the filter without cutting the water.

Sizing & installation

Choose the size (vessel 10X35) according to peak flow and water quality. Provide a drain for backwash and a power supply for the valve. Install frost-free, on a flat floor; an upstream sediment pre-filter is recommended to protect the medium.

Savings & ecology

Treating water at point of entry protects the whole installation: less corrosion (pH correction), more pleasant water (carbon) and preserved equipment, so fewer replacements and less maintenance. Backwash uses only water (and salt for Ecomix), without polluting additives: an effective, resource-respecting treatment.

Good to know

The medium is chosen from the water analysis: carbon for taste and chlorine, calcite/Corosex to raise an aggressive pH, Ecomix for multi-problem well water. Provide the backwash (sufficient flow and drain) and, for pH-correction media, periodic checking and topping-up of the level as they are consumed. An upstream sediment pre-filter protects the medium and spaces out backwashes, while a regular water analysis lets you fine-tune the valve setting.
