Overview

Dual-block treatment unit filled with multilayer media Ecomix C, on Fleck 5800 SXT valve with volumetric regeneration. Bottle 16 x 65, 100 L of media, round salt tank 145 L. Supplied with stainless steel bypass, dual safety and proportional mixing. Point-of-entry installation to treat mains water, well water or borehole water.

Treatment principle

Ecomix is a multilayer media that combines softening, iron and manganese removal, and ammonia and organic matter reduction. It regenerates with salt like a softener resin, allowing multiple parameters to be treated in a single bottle instead of stacking several filters in series. This is the configuration suited to well and borehole waters presenting multiple simultaneous defects.

Fleck 5800 SXT valve

The valve automatically pilots the cycles: service, backwash, salt regeneration, rinse and return to service. Triggering is volumetric, indexed to the volume of water actually consumed and not to a clock. Proportional mixing allows adjustment of residual hardness at outlet. Dual safety protects against salt tank overflow, and the stainless steel bypass isolates the unit without cutting off building supply.

Dual-block assembly

Bottle and salt tank are separate, unlike monoblocks where everything is integrated into a single casing. The round 145 L tank provides significant salt autonomy and can be placed freely beside the bottle, facilitating installation in cramped or irregularly shaped technical rooms.

Sizing and installation

Sizing is based on peak flow rate and water analysis, not on the number of draw-off points. Provide a drain outlet for backwash, electrical supply for the valve, a level floor and a frost-free location. Sediment pre-filtration upstream is recommended: it preserves the media and spaces out backwashes. This unit is supplied without sand bed.

Maintenance

The unit consumes only water and salt, with no chemical reagent. Filling the salt tank and periodic checking of valve settings constitute the main maintenance. Regular water analysis allows adjustment of regeneration volume and mixing rate.
