Fleck 8100 Electronics, electronic volumetric control valve

High-performance electronic control valve for water softeners and filters. It manages service position and regeneration cycle sequencing: backwash, brine draw, slow rinse, water return to tank and fast rinse.

Inlet and outlet 3/4". Reference FLE-V810SR-601, article code ART091312.

Volumetric control

The valve counts the volume of water actually consumed and triggers regeneration when resin capacity is reached, instead of regenerating at fixed intervals.

In practice, salt and water consumption follows system usage: a lightly occupied dwelling does not regenerate unnecessarily, high consumption regenerates when needed.

Supplied hydraulic configuration

The valve is supplied with a set of calibrated orifices that determine regeneration behaviour:

• Injector no. 0: sizes brine draw
• DLFC 1.5: drain flow limiter, which sets backwash and rinse flow rate
• BLFC 0.25: brine flow limiter, which sets salt tank fill rate

This trio is what adapts the valve to resin volume and bottle diameter. On a different configuration, verify that the combination matches and change if necessary: an unsuitable DLFC fluidises the resin poorly, an unsuitable BLFC distorts the salt dose.

• Service flow rate: up to 4.5 m³/h
• Compatible bottles: 6", 10", 12" diameter
• Inlet / outlet: 3/4"
• Central tube: Ø 26.7 mm, i.e. 1"

Optimised backwash capacities allow up to a 12" bottle, covering demanding residential installations and small commercial applications.

Programming

Large backlit LCD screen and three buttons. Six adjustable cycle times, allowing the valve to be adapted to various configurations, beyond the standard softener.

Patented electronic board. 24 V supply, 230-24 V transformer, 50/60 Hz, 10 VA supplied.

Construction

Body in PPO reinforced with glass fibre, non-corrosive and UV-resistant materials. Modular design: disassembly and maintenance are carried out without special tools, and wear parts can be replaced without removing the assembly.

Service conditions

• Pressure: 1.4 to 8.5 bar
• Water temperature: 1 to 43 °C
• Central tube cut: aligned with top of tank, tolerance ±12 mm

Installation points

The central tube cut determines the seal at the bottle head: aligned with the top of the tank, to within ±12 mm. A tube that is too short or too long causes internal leakage or poor distributor seating.

Check available pressure: below 1.4 bar, brine draw does not occur correctly and regeneration is incomplete.

Proportional mixing allows outlet hardness to be adjusted. Check outlet hardness after adjustment, then recheck after the first complete regeneration.
