Overview
Bottle filter filled with pyrolusite media (manganese dioxide), on Fleck valve (ref. FL-2850-AIQ-NBP-PYROLUSITE-130). Bottle 18X65. This filtration station ensures iron and manganese removal (high loads), at point of entry to protect the entire installation. Supplied ready to install (filled bottle + valve + distribution), it treats mains water, well water or borehole water.
Filtration principle
Pyrolusite is a dense mineral media based on natural manganese dioxide, offering strong oxidising power on iron and manganese. Its high density requires a higher backwash flow rate but provides high retention capacity and remarkable longevity, ideal for heavily iron-laden water.
Pyrolusite media
The bottle is filled with pyrolusite media (manganese dioxide) on a gravel/flint support bed that distributes water and retains fines. Media volume: 113.2L. Depending on the media, the bed is backwashed (charcoal/Ecomix) or recharged when consumed (calcite/Corosex/Everzit), to maintain performance over time.
Valve & operation
The Fleck valve automatically controls cycles: service (filtration), backwash, rinse and return to service (and salt regeneration for Ecomix). Triggering is time-based or volume-based depending on the model; an integrated bypass isolates the filter without cutting off water.
Sizing & installation
Choose the size (bottle 18X65) according to peak flow and water quality. Provide drainage to the sewer for backwash and electrical supply for the valve. Install in a frost-free location, on level ground; an upstream sediment pre-filter is recommended to protect the media.
Economy & ecology
Treating water at point of entry protects the entire installation: less corrosion (pH correction), more pleasant water (charcoal) and preserved equipment, therefore fewer replacements and maintenance. Backwash uses only water (and salt for Ecomix), with no polluting additives: effective treatment that respects the resource.
Choosing correctly
To choose correctly, have your water analysed (pH, TAC, chlorine, iron) and estimate peak flow. Media is chosen according to need: charcoal (taste/chlorine), calcite/Corosex/Everzit (pH correction), Ecomix (multi-parameter). The DIMM team helps you size bottle, valve and pre-treatment.

DIMM service & support
DIMM designs, assembles and ships turnkey bottle filters (Aquacarb/Carbsorb charcoal, pH correction Calcite/Corosex/Everzit, multilayer Ecomix) on Clack valves, as well as hoses and accessories. Our teams analyse your water, size the bottle and valve and advise you on suitable media and pre-treatment. Each reference is identified by its article code, with manufacturer warranty, spare parts and refill media available. From advice to commissioning, we support installers and end users, from bottle and valve sizing to media selection and maintenance follow-up, with a stock of refill media and spare parts immediately available.
Good to know
Media is chosen according to water analysis: charcoal for taste and chlorine, calcite/Corosex to raise aggressive pH, Ecomix for multi-problem well water. Plan for backwash (sufficient flow and drainage) and, for pH correction media, periodic level monitoring and recharging as they are consumed. An upstream sediment pre-filter protects the media and spaces out backwashes, whilst regular water analysis allows valve settings to be adjusted.
Applications
These bottle filters are installed at point of entry (protecting the entire house or building), in residential, tertiary and agricultural settings. Depending on the media, they refine taste, correct pH or treat multiple parameters. They combine with sediment pre-filtration and, if needed, aeration, for healthy water and protected plumbing all year round.
Warranty & restocking
Station assembled and distributed by DIMM, identified by its Business Central article code for reliable ordering and simple restocking. It benefits from manufacturer warranty; the valve, bottle, refill media and compatible hoses remain available in the catalogue to support the installation throughout its lifetime.
