Overview

Vessel filter filled with Everzit carbonate medium, on a Clack valve (ref. CLACK-WS1.25CI-EVERZIT-180). Vessel 21X62. Valve WS1. This filtration station provides pH correction of aggressive water and plumbing protection, at point of entry to protect the whole installation. Delivered ready to install (filled vessel + valve + distribution), it treats mains, well or borehole water.

Filtration principle

This pH-correction medium neutralises aggressive water (acidic, low alkalinity) that attacks plumbing. By dissolving slowly on contact with water, it raises the pH and adds hardness (calcium/magnesium), protecting pipes and equipment from corrosion. The medium level is topped up periodically as it is consumed.

Everzit Carbonate media

The vessel is filled with Everzit carbonate medium on a gravel/silex support bed that distributes the water and retains fines. Media volume: 182.6 L. Depending on the medium, the bed is backwashed (carbon/Ecomix) or topped up as it is consumed (calcite/Corosex/Everzit), to maintain performance over time.

Valve & operation

The WS1 valve automatically drives the cycles: service (filtration), backwash, rinse and return to service (and salt regeneration for Ecomix). Triggering is timed or metered per model; a built-in bypass isolates the filter without cutting the water.

Sizing & installation

Choose the size (vessel 21X62) according to peak flow and water quality. Provide a drain for backwash and a power supply for the valve. Install frost-free, on a flat floor; an upstream sediment pre-filter is recommended to protect the medium.

Savings & ecology

Treating water at point of entry protects the whole installation: less corrosion (pH correction), more pleasant water (carbon) and preserved equipment, so fewer replacements and less maintenance. Backwash uses only water (and salt for Ecomix), without polluting additives: an effective, resource-respecting treatment.

The medium is chosen from the water analysis: carbon for taste and chlorine, calcite/Corosex to raise an aggressive pH, Ecomix for multi-problem well water. Provide the backwash (sufficient flow and drain) and, for pH-correction media, periodic checking and topping-up of the level as they are consumed. An upstream sediment pre-filter protects the medium and spaces out backwashes, while a regular water analysis lets you fine-tune the valve setting.
