O-ring for AEG filter housing
Replacement O-ring for AEG filter housings, Aquapro reference PR-ORING-AEG. It seats in the head groove and provides the seal between head and bowl.
The part not to forget
The O-ring is the first cause of leaks on a filter housing. At every dismantling it is crushed, marked and loses elasticity; a dry, flattened or split ring no longer recovers its shape and lets water through under pressure.
The habit to adopt: replace it at every cartridge change, not only when it leaks. A few euros against water damage in a plant room.
Fitting
Clean the groove before fitting the new ring. A little food-grade silicone grease eases installation and prevents pinching on reassembly. Tighten the ring by hand or with the dedicated spanner only.
