Simple mounting clip Ø 2"
Fixing clip designed for inline cartridges with 2" diameter. The cartridge clips into it, and the clip screws onto a wall or panel. Simple version: one cartridge per clip. Aquapro reference PR-CKB-2.
Why fix an inline cartridge
An inline cartridge has no integrated support. Without a clip, it remains suspended from its two quick couplings, and that is where the problem begins.
The weight of the full cartridge, vibrations, pressure surges and handling in the cabinet continuously stress the couplings. Over time, this results in a fatigued ring, a tube that disengages, or a slow leak that goes unnoticed behind a housing.
The clip takes up the mechanical load. The couplings only experience pressure, which is what they are designed for.
Benefits during installation
Clean installation. The cartridge is in its place, aligned, instead of hanging from the tube. On a visible installation or a site visit, the difference is immediately apparent.
Faster replacement. The cartridge unclips, is replaced and reclips in the same location. No repositioning, no tube to rebend.
Less tube length. A cartridge fixed at a defined point allows tube lengths to be calculated precisely, without safety slack.
The simple version
This version accommodates one cartridge. On a multi-stage inline chain, prefilter then carbon then post-carbon, simply align several simple clips. This allows freedom to space or reorganise cartridges according to the space actually available in the cabinet.
Pay attention to diameter
This clip is designed for 2". It also exists in 2"1/2, and the two are not interchangeable.
A 2" cartridge in a 2"1/2 clip is not held and comes out. A 2"1/2 cartridge does not fit in a 2" clip. Check the diameter of the cartridge body before ordering, not its stated format.
Installation
Fix the clip before connecting the tubes, on a rigid support: cabinet wall, panel, plate.
Clip the cartridge in, respecting the flow direction indicated by the arrow, then connect.
Leave slight slack on the tubes on either side. The clip must hold the cartridge, not put the couplings under tension: a tube stretched between two fixed points cancels out all the benefit of the installation.
