Why meter water

Principle

This flanged strainer protects the water meter and downstream equipment by retaining particles and impurities from the network. Installed upstream of the meter, it preserves measurement accuracy and extends installation life.

How it works

The filter element (stainless mesh) stops solids while water flows on; it is cleaned or replaced at maintenance. Available in several flanged diameters (DN50 and up), 16 bar service pressure; the filter element can be supplied separately on request.

Reliability & anti-fraud

Installation & maintenance

Installation is on a full pipe, in the arrow direction, preferably horizontal to preserve accuracy (maximum ratio). Follow the recommended upstream/downstream straight lengths and fit a strainer upstream to protect the mechanism. Isolation valves ease removal. Maintenance is minimal: periodic checks and replacement at metrological end of life.
