Duplex water softener Clack WS1 CI TWIN, 2 x 125 L resin

Duplex alternating softener for industry, tertiary sector and collective housing. Two bottles controlled by a single Clack WS1 CI TWIN valve: whilst one column regenerates, the other remains in service, guaranteeing uninterrupted softened water. By reducing hardness, the unit protects heat exchangers, boilers, cooling towers, laundries and processes against scale formation, and limits maintenance costs.

Alternating TWIN configuration

The two columns work in relay under a single valve. Control is volumetric: regeneration is triggered by the volume of water actually consumed, not by a timer, and therefore consumes only the salt and water necessary. This is the configuration to choose whenever an interruption in softened water supply, even for a few tens of minutes, would penalise operations.

Why soften water in professional settings

A few millimetres of scale on a heating element or heat exchanger is enough to reduce efficiency and multiply breakdowns. Softened water extends equipment lifespan, stabilises processes, reduces energy and detergent consumption, and limits production downtime. On hot water supply networks and heating circuits, softening is the first anti-scale barrier.

Correct sizing

Sizing is based on water hardness in °fH, peak flow rate and daily volume consumed. Appropriately sized resin volume avoids overly frequent regenerations, and a correctly sized salt tank spaces out refilling intervals. The Clack WS1 CI TWIN valve

Clack valves in the WS series equip a very large number of professional installations. Robust, precise and simple to maintain, they control regeneration by volume with a wide choice of connections. The suffix CI designates the meter that makes volumetric control possible, and TWIN the management of the two columns in alternation. Combined with composite bottles and selected resins, they form a durable technical foundation.

Installation and maintenance

Connection to the main inlet, after the meter, with the isolation bypass for maintenance. Bottles are mounted on base. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness, treated volume and regeneration cycles. Routine maintenance is limited to filling the salt tank and periodic checks of outlet hardness. Double safety protects against tank overflow. DIMM handles assembly, commissioning, spare parts availability and technical support.

Quality and compliance

Salt and consumables
