Everpure AC² Cartridge

Filtering cartridge Everpure AC², designed for coffee machines, beverage dispensers and service points in food service. Reference EV9605-86.

Micro-Pure media at 0.2 micron, service flow rate 0.5 gpm (approximately 1.9 L/min), nominal capacity of 750 to 1 500 gallons (2 835 to 5 678 litres) depending on application. Certified NSF/ANSI 42 and NSF/ANSI 53.

The Everpure System

Everpure does not operate like a conventional bowl filter housing. The architecture is based on a fixed head and a sealed cartridge that locks by rotation.

This fundamentally changes maintenance in the kitchen. No bowl to unscrew, no loose media to handle, no separate O-ring to manage: the seals are part of the cartridge, and each replacement renews all sealing points.

On a professional site, where intervention often occurs during service and by non-technical staff, this format minimises assembly errors and contamination on reinstallation.

Micro-Pure Media

The AC² uses Micro-Pure media, a precoat technology proprietary to Everpure.

It delivers two simultaneous functions. Filtration at 0.2 micron, a very fine threshold capable of retaining particles and turbidity that conventional cartridges allow to pass. And reduction of chlorine, tastes and odours, through activated carbon integrated into the media.

The certifications NSF/ANSI 42 (aesthetic effects: taste, odour, particles) and NSF/ANSI 53 (health-related effects) frame these performances through standardised testing.

Why It Matters on a Coffee Machine

Coffee is the finished product where water quality is most visible.

A chlorine taste in the supply water appears directly in the cup and masks coffee aromas. The AC² carbon addresses exactly this point.

Consistency matters equally. An establishment wants the same espresso on Monday morning and Saturday evening. Water filtered consistently delivers consistent extraction.

Finally, 0.2 micron fineness retains particles that, over time, foul the internal circuits, solenoid valves and nozzles of a professional machine.

Pack of 6

The reference EV9605-86 corresponds to the pack of 6 AC² cartridges.

This is the packaging designed for multi-site operators and maintenance companies: one pack covers a complete round or a year of replacements across multiple service points, with a more attractive unit cost than single purchase.

The single cartridge is available under a separate reference.

Understanding Capacity

Everpure states 750 to 1 500 gallons, and this range is not imprecision: it reflects the fact that actual capacity depends on incoming water quality.

On lightly loaded water, the cartridge reaches the top of the range. On turbid or heavily chlorinated water, it saturates faster. Sizing is therefore based on site consumption, not theoretical duration.

Replacement

Two criteria trigger replacement, and whichever is reached first applies.

Filtered volume, once nominal capacity is reached.

Flow rate, if it drops first: on a 0.2 micron cartridge, clogging manifests as a drop in output that is immediately visible on a coffee machine.

A return of chlorine taste in beverages is the third signal, and the most telling for the operator.

In food service, the most reliable practice remains calendar-based replacement, aligned with observed site consumption, rather than waiting for a symptom.

Installation

Cut water and depressurise before work. Unlock the used cartridge by rotation, remove it, insert the new one and lock.

Restore water slowly, check for leaks at the head, then purge for a few minutes before returning the machine to service, to clear air and residual fines.

Why an Original Cartridge

The media, internal geometry and sealing surfaces are sized for the Everpure head. An aftermarket cartridge may lock without delivering the same filtration performance or pressure rating.

On a professional installation in continuous service, where water quality commits the operator and where machine downtime costs a day of operation, the original cartridge is the only one that maintains the system's certified performance.
