Cartouche 20'' Big Blue Fibre Tissee Pp 100 Microns, Nsf Aquapro, ref. PR-PPS-2045-100

Overview

This sediment filter cartridge Aquapro (ref. PR-PPS-2045-100) fits into a filter housing to treat water upstream of a point of use or equipment. Size BIG BLUE. Filtration rating 100 µm. It delivers cleaner water and protects installations (appliances, machines, networks) from particles and, depending on the medium, chlorine and bad tastes.

Filtration principle

This cartridge retains suspended sediment, sand, silt, rust, pipe particles. It clarifies the water and protects downstream equipment and cartridges (carbon, membrane) against premature clogging. The filtration rating sets the retention fineness and is chosen according to the inlet water quality and intended use.

Medium & construction

Polypropylene medium (wound, melt-blown or pleated) suitable for food contact, graded structure to maximise retention. Design suitable for drinking-water contact, with pressure and temperature ratings for domestic or professional use. The cartridge is a consumable: performance holds as long as the medium is not saturated.

Performance & compatibility

Filtration rating: 100 µm. Size: BIG BLUE. Compatible with standard market housings (9¾″, 10″, 20″, Big Blue per format). Flow and pressure drop depend on the rating and fouling; add a coarser pre-filter upstream to extend life on loaded water.

Installation & replacement

Shut off the water, depressurise, insert the cartridge in the marked direction (in/out), refit the bowl and bleed the air. Replace the cartridge as soon as flow drops, at medium saturation or per the recommended interval (often 6 to 12 months). An initial rinse removes manufacturing fines (especially carbon).

Savings & ecology

Filtering water at the right rating avoids waste: it protects equipment (water heater, machines, membranes) and extends their life, while cutting bottled-water purchases. Choosing the right fineness and changing the cartridge at the right time limits consumable over-use and discharge. Polypropylene media are recyclable and, for washable pleated cartridges, reusable: an economical and ecological choice.

Choosing right

To choose well, identify your housing format (9¾, 10, 20 inch, Big Blue), the rating suited to your water (coarse pre-filtration then polishing) and the medium type (sediment, carbon, specific). If unsure about compatibility or the order of filtration stages, the DIMM team will advise the right cartridge.

Key specifications

DIMM service & support

DIMM selects, stocks and ships a broad catalogue of filter cartridges (sediment, carbon, pleated, depth, foodservice, specific media) and accessories for all housing brands. Our technical teams advise on filtration rating, format compatibility (9¾, 10, 20, Big Blue) and stage order. Every item is identified by its article code for reliable ordering and easy re-supply. Benefit from the manufacturer's warranty, deep stock and support from water-treatment professionals. Whether you equip a new installation or maintain an existing filtration line, our advisers help you match every cartridge and accessory to your housings and to your water quality.

Good to know

Respect the flow direction and replacement interval: a saturated cartridge releases impurities and drops the flow. On heavily loaded water, double the pre-filtration (coarse then fine) to protect costly stages (carbon, membrane). Note the exact reference for re-supply: format, rating and connection must match.

Applications

This cartridge is used in point-of-entry filtration (whole-house protection), under-sink (drinking water), upstream of a softener or RO unit, and in professional equipment (foodservice, laboratories, light industry). In a multi-stage chain, ratings run from coarse to fine: sediment pre-filter, then carbon, then polishing. This sequence protects the costly stages and extends the life of each cartridge.
