Why duplex changes everything

A standard single-column softener stops during regeneration: water flowing at that moment is not softened. The ORUS 2 operates with two 5-litre columns in parallel. While one regenerates, the other works.

Result: soft water 24/7, 365 days a year, with no hard water window, even during night-time use or sustained flow.

No electrical connection required

A 9V battery is all that is needed to operate the unit. No socket to plan for nearby, no cable to run, no installation blocked because the technical room has no power supply. A 240V/12 DC power supply remains an option if you prefer it.

This is a genuine site advantage: the ORUS 2 can be positioned where it is practical, not where there is a socket.

Compact — 22 cm wide

At 220 x 480 x 508 mm (281 mm with bypass), it fits into spaces where a standard softener cannot: under a worktop, in a technical cupboard, a narrow utility room. Silent, it does not intrude in a living space.

Intelligent volumetric regeneration

The integrated meter triggers regeneration only when necessary, based on actual consumption volume. No wasted cycles, no salt or water wasted.

Each regeneration lasts 21 minutes, consumes 0.5 kg of salt per column and approximately 20 litres of water at 2.8 bar. On an annual consumption of 100 m³, this represents approximately 62 kg of salt and 2.4 m³ of water per year.

Rinsing in softened water, counter-current regeneration

Two technical choices that distinguish the ORUS 2 from previous generations: rinsing is carried out in softened water and regeneration is counter-current. Less salt, less water, resin better preserved.

For which household

Suitable for a home of 5 to 6 people with up to 2 bathrooms, for an annual consumption below 150 m³. The flow rate of 1.8 m³/h covers simultaneous draw-offs in a family home.
