Fleck 5800 XTR Bi-Bloc 8 L water softener

Fleck 5800 Bi-Bloc water softener, 8 L resin

The Fleck 5800 Bi-Bloc softener is a bi-block (bottle and brine tank separate) model for apartments and single-family homes. It removes the limescale that scales up the water heater, pipes and appliances, for soft water that is gentler on skin, hair and laundry, and saves energy and cleaning products. It combines a food-grade ion-exchange resin with a Fleck 5800 valve with XTR electronic volumetric control.

How it works

Hard water flows through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water leaves softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically starts a brine regeneration (water + salt), volume-controlled to use only what is required.

Technical specifications

Why soften your water?

Hard water deposits scale in pipes, the hot-water tank and heating elements: energy use rises, appliances wear out and taps fur up. By removing hardness, the softener extends equipment life, cuts the energy bill and makes water softer day to day.

The Fleck 5800 valve

A world reference in domestic water treatment, the Fleck 5800 valve combines reliability, economical regeneration and precise cycle control. Composite tank, selected resin and volumetric control ensure stable performance and low salt and water use, the right balance of performance, discretion and durability for residential use.

The comfort of soft water every day

Beyond protecting equipment, softened water transforms daily life: fewer limescale marks on taps, shower and dishes, softer laundry, less stressed skin and hair, and more effective cleaning products in smaller amounts. The water heater and washing machine keep their efficiency longer. Compact and quiet, the unit works continuously while going unnoticed.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is fitted on the main water supply, after the meter, with a by-pass allowing isolation for servicing. Commissioning consists of setting inlet hardness and the regeneration time; maintenance is limited to refilling salt and a periodic check. DIMM ensures spare-part availability and technical support throughout the service life.

Choosing the right capacity

The right resin volume depends on your water hardness (°f) and household size. An undersized model regenerates too often; a well-chosen one spaces out regenerations and optimises salt use. If in doubt, our technicians help you select the capacity best suited to your installation and consumption.

Quality & compliance

High-pressure FRP composite tank, food-grade ion-exchange resin, proven Fleck valve, water-contact materials compliant, CE design. Every softener is assembled and checked by DIMM, with a warranty and after-sales network in Belgium and France.

Salt & consumables

The softener runs on regeneration salt in tablet form, kept in the tank. Depending on hardness and consumption, plan a suitable resupply and a periodic resin cleaner. DIMM offers salt, hoses, fittings and maintenance parts in the related products.
