Fleck 5600 SXT Aurora 18 L water softener - ref. FL-5600-SXT-AURORA-18

Fleck 5600 Aurora water softener, 18 L resin

The Fleck 5600 Aurora softener is a compact all-in-one model (resin and salt tank integrated) designed for flats and individual homes. It removes hardness (limescale) responsible for scaling in water heaters, pipework and appliances, for softer water that is more pleasant for skin, hair and laundry, and more economical in energy and cleaning products. It combines food-grade ion exchange resin and a Fleck 5600 valve with volumetric electronic SXT controller.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically triggers regeneration with brine (water + salt), controlled by volume to consume only the salt and water strictly necessary.

Technical specifications

Why soften your water?

Hard water deposits scale in pipework, hot water cylinders and heating elements: energy consumption rises, appliances wear out and taps become scaled. By removing hardness, the softener extends the life of equipment, reduces energy bills, decreases soap and detergent use and makes water softer for daily use.

The Fleck 5600 valve

A world reference in domestic water treatment, the Fleck 5600 valve combines reliability, economical regeneration and precise cycle control. Composite bottle, selected resin and volumetric control guarantee stable performance and low salt and water consumption, the right balance between performance, discretion and durability for residential use.

The comfort of soft water every day

Beyond equipment protection, softened water transforms daily life: fewer limescale marks on taps, shower and dishes, softer laundry, less aggressive skin and hair, and more effective cleaning products in smaller quantities. The water heater and washing machine retain their efficiency longer, reducing energy consumption and breakdowns. Compact and silent, the unit works continuously whilst remaining unobtrusive.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass allowing isolation for maintenance. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration time; maintenance is limited to salt top-ups and periodic checks. DIMM ensures spare parts availability and technical support throughout the system's life.

Choosing the right capacity

The correct resin volume depends on your water hardness (°TH) and the number of people in the household. An undersized model regenerates too often; a correctly chosen model spaces out regenerations and optimises salt consumption. If in doubt, our technicians will help you select the capacity best suited to your installation and consumption.

Quality & compliance

High-pressure FRP composite bottle, food-grade ion exchange resin, proven Fleck valve, materials in contact with water compliant, CE design. Each softener is assembled and checked by DIMM, with warranty and after-sales service network in Belgium and France.

Salt & consumables

The softener operates with regeneration salt in pellet form, to be maintained in the tank. Depending on hardness and consumption, plan appropriate replenishment and periodic resin cleaner. DIMM supplies salt, hoses, fittings and maintenance parts compatible with associated products.
