The Triton water softener: compact modern design with Floteck 85 valve, available in white/blue and grey/red.

Introducing the Triton Water Softener

The Triton water softener has been designed to provide effective limescale removal while durably protecting your installations. Paired with the Floteck 85 valve, it benefits from intelligent volumetric operation, automatically adjusting regeneration cycles to your actual consumption.

Compact, modern and elegant, the Triton integrates easily into any interior. Its removable cap makes salt refilling and level checking easy, while its ergonomic handles ensure simple and practical handling. With its downflow regeneration, it guarantees reliable and consistent performance with excellent value for money.

Available in 2 capacities (9 L and 18 L) and in two colours (white/blue and grey/red), the Triton suits all installation styles.

Certifications – The Triton is certified NSF, CE, ACS, KTW and W270.

Triton advantages

  • Intelligent volumetric operation – saves water and salt by adapting to actual consumption
  • Compact modern design – easy integration into any space
  • Anti-overflow safety – integrated brine float
  • Automatic salt level detection – visual alert so you never forget to refill
  • Smart Clean technology – automatic rinse after prolonged absence

The Floteck 85 valve

The Floteck 85 is an electronic volumetric valve made of NORYL, designed to optimise the softener's operation by adapting to actual consumption. It provides automatic, precise and reliable management of regeneration cycles while effectively reducing water and salt consumption.

Thanks to its advanced technology and upflow regeneration (Up Flow), the valve regenerates only the used resin, saving up to 30% on salt.

Performance and efficiency

  • Continuous flow rate: 4,700 L/h
  • Peak flow rate: 6,100 L/h
  • Counter-current flow rate: 3,800 L/h
  • CV coefficient: 5.2
  • Optimal performance at 3.5 bar
  • 2-line LCD display – automatic display: remaining capacity, flow rate, regeneration history
  • Automatic holiday mode – rinse during prolonged non-use

Sizing

The choice between the Triton 9L and Triton 18L depends on water hardness, the number of occupants and the consumption profile. The Triton 9L (compact format, 640 mm tall) suits small households, while the Triton 18L (1,110 mm) is suited for standard residential installations.

Contact the DIMM technical department for personalised sizing based on your water analysis. Correct sizing ensures optimal regeneration frequency and maximum resin lifespan.

Installation

  1. Position the water softener near the main water inlet, on a flat and stable surface, protected from frost
  2. Connect the water inlet and outlet via the integrated bypass, using mandatory flexible hoses
  3. Connect the drain hose to a regulation siphon (mandatory)
  4. Connect the power supply (transformer provided – 12V AC output)
  5. Fill the salt tank with tablet salt
  6. Programme the unit: operating mode, resin capacity and cycle times
  7. Run an initial regeneration cycle
  8. Adjust the mixing valve to the desired residual hardness

Regulatory requirement – A non-return valve must be installed upstream of the water softener, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Routine maintenance

  • Salt level – check regularly and top up with tablet salt (automatic alert on the Triton)
  • Salt tank cleaning – once a year to remove deposits
  • Resin cleaner – an annual treatment extends the exchange capacity
  • Hardness check – test residual hardness regularly with a TH test kit
  • Smart Clean – the built-in technology ensures automatic rinsing after absence, limiting bacterial growth
