- 9V battery (6LR61) — included with the unit, approximately 1-year lifespan. The softener only needs a water inlet and drain to operate.
- Mains 220–240 V AC — if an outlet is available, the K-Natur can also run on mains power, offering complete flexibility.
This versatility allows the softener to be installed anywhere: under a sink, in a crawl space, a garage without outlets, or any area where access to electricity is difficult.

Installation
Installing the K-Natur is particularly straightforward thanks to the absence of electrical constraints:
- Position the unit near the water supply, on a flat surface
- Connect the water inlet and outlet via the included 3/4" bypass
- Connect the drain hose to a drainage point
- Insert the supplied 9V battery (or plug in the mains transformer if available)
- Fill the salt tank (tablet salt recommended)
- Configure inlet hardness on the IMD screen
- Run an initial regeneration cycle
Important note — A non-return valve upstream of the softener is mandatory under Belgian and French regulations. Remember to replace the 9V battery approximately once a year.
