The Ydrokalk reference PR-YDROKALK-20-KDF (article code ART079135) is an anti-limescale and anti-scale system for the whole home, mounted on a « Big Blue » 20″ housing. It combines, in a single unit, sediment filtration and a multi-level anti-scale treatment, to protect pipework, boiler, water heater and household appliances without salt or chemicals.

4-level anti-scale principle

The Ydrokalk treatment works without a softener: it does not remove calcium from the water but changes the crystallisation of the limescale (catalytic/physical effect) so that scale no longer deposits on the walls. The KDF media and sediment pre-filtration ensure clear water and durable protection of the network. No regeneration, no drain discharge, no salt consumption.

Composition and media

The system combines a sediment pre-filter cartridge and a treatment media: KDF (copper-zinc alloy) reduces chlorine, heavy metals and bacterial action while contributing to anti-scale conditioning. The Big Blue 20″ housing offers a high flow rate and long autonomy between cartridge replacements.

Installation

The Ydrokalk installs at the home's inlet (point of entry), on the cold-water line, with a 1″ F connection. Supplied ready to fit, it mounts on the wall via its bracket and connects using the hoses and fittings available in the catalogue. Ydrokalk or softener: what is the difference?
