Disinfection without chemicals

Water passes through a stainless steel chamber where a UV-C lamp exposes it to short-wavelength ultraviolet radiation. This radiation destroys the DNA of micro-organisms and renders them incapable of reproduction: bacteria, viruses, yeasts and parasites are inactivated as the water passes through.

No chemical is added. No chlorine, no disinfection by-products, no reactant storage to manage. The water leaves with exactly the same mineral composition, taste and odour as it entered, it is simply safe.

Why stainless steel

The stainless steel chamber is not an aesthetic detail. It reflects UV radiation inward: the radiation bounces off the walls instead of being absorbed, which increases the dose received by the water and improves lamp efficiency.

Stainless steel also resists pressure, UV radiation and time, where a plastic body becomes brittle. It is the standard for sterilisers designed to last.

Immediate and continuous action

Treatment is instantaneous: no contact time to observe, no retention tank. As long as the lamp operates and water circulates, disinfection is assured, 24/7, without intervention.

1 GPM, for which applications

The flow rate of 1 gallon per minute (approximately 3.8 l/min) corresponds to a single draw-off point or a low-consumption installation:

• Drinking water point in kitchen, as a complement to filtration
• Chalet, mobile home, boat, motorhome
• Surgery, laboratory, small business
• Rainwater or well water already filtered, for occasional use

Install last

The UV steriliser is placed at the end of the chain, after filtration. The reason is simple: suspended particles block the radiation and protect the micro-organisms they harbour. Clear water is the condition for effective disinfection.

In practice: sediment filtration, then activated carbon if necessary, then UV just before the draw-off point.

Minimal maintenance

Maintenance consists of two tasks: replace the lamp once a year, its intensity decreases before it fails, hence replacement on schedule rather than on failure, and periodically clean the quartz sleeve that protects the lamp, to prevent deposits from reducing UV transmission.

Nothing else. No monthly consumables, no adjustment.

Complete kit
