Overview

The SAAS scale-inhibition conditioner (ref. JUB-SY02, DN40 / 2" à bride connection) is a salt-free, electricity-free anti-scale water conditioner. Fitted at point of entry, it protects the whole installation (water heater, boiler, exchangers, taps, appliances) against limescale, while keeping the water's essential minerals.

Inhibition principle

Unlike a resin softener that swaps calcium for sodium, inhibition works by sequestration: an inhibitor (SAAS medium) is dosed inline and alters limescale crystallisation, which stays in suspension instead of encrusting. Result: less scale on hot surfaces, without brine discharge, salt refilling or electricity.

Flow & installation

Outlet flow: 5 m³/h. DN40 / 2" à bride connection. Install on the main water inlet, upstream of the equipment to protect, with isolation valves for maintenance. Respect the flow direction and check tightness. The inhibitor charge is replaced according to water hardness and treated volume.

Good to know

Inhibition protects effectively on moderately to very hard water; on extremely hard water or to remove hardness entirely, a resin softener remains more suitable. Install a sediment pre-filter upstream, regularly check the inhibitor charge and replace it before exhaustion for continuous protection.
