Overview

The Dido A is a sediment filter from the Industrial Filtration range, equipped with fully automatic backwash. It is installed inline at the point of entry to the system, with a 1" 1/2 connection. It is suitable for multi-unit buildings, tertiary sector, small industrial sites and installations supplied by wells or boreholes.

Automatic backwash principle

Water passes through an 89 µm filter cartridge which stops solid particles: sand, rust, soil, pipe debris. The backwash is triggered automatically and evacuates deposits to the drain, without manual operation or disassembly. The filter thus maintains stable flow, without the need to monitor clogging.

Why 89 microns

The 89 µm fineness provides effective pre-filtration of common sediments. It protects plumbing, pumps, valves and treatment equipment located downstream, while limiting backwash frequency. For more sensitive equipment, finer filtration can be added.

Installation

The filter is installed inline, just after the meter or pump and upstream of the equipment to be protected, with isolation valves and a bypass for maintenance. Provide a drain connection for backwash water evacuation. Install in a frost-free location with clear access.

Choosing correctly

This filter removes sediments. It does not treat taste, chlorine or hardness: it should be complemented downstream by a carbon filter, a water softener or a reverse osmosis unit. The DIMM team will help you size the filter and design the appropriate treatment chain.
