John Guest straight reducing connector 3/8" × 1/4"
Straight John Guest fitting combining a 3/8" male stem with a 1/4" push-fit connector. It reduces between two tubing diameters, or links an existing 3/8" fitting directly to a 1/4" line.
How it fits
The 3/8" male stem is sized to the outside diameter of tube: it plugs straight into a 3/8" push-fit fitting, exactly as the tube itself would. On the 1/4" side, the tube pushes into the collet, which locks it automatically.
The result: no tools, no seals to fit, no glue. The joint releases by pressing the collar, which makes servicing straightforward.
Where to use it
Reduction at an RO system outlet, transition from a 3/8" feed to a 1/4" distribution line, connection of a tank, solenoid valve or dispensing tap. Useful anywhere two components of the same installation do not share the same tubing diameter.

Fitting
Cut the 1/4" tube square with a proper tube cutter for a clean section, then push it fully home to the stop. Pull gently to confirm it has locked. Pressurise and check for leaks before closing up the installation.
