Union elbow 3/8" × 3/8"

The AAEU0606 joins two 3/8" semi-rigid tubes with a 90° change of direction. Both ends are push-fit connections: the tube is pushed fully home, the collet locks it mechanically and the O-ring seals it. No tools, no glue, no threads.

Why an elbow rather than a bent tube

Semi-rigid tubing only tolerates a limited bend radius. Forced beyond it, the tube goes oval or kinks: the bore narrows, flow drops and the tube eventually fatigues and cracks at the bend. The union elbow removes the problem with a clean 90° angle and a fully preserved bore.

This matters especially in 3/8", the diameter used for higher-flow lines, tank outlet, faucet feed, RO production line, where a pinched bore costs litres per minute directly.

Where to use it

To route around an obstacle in an under-sink cabinet, follow a cabinet corner, or take a line up along a wall. On reverse osmosis systems, pressure tanks, distribution lines to a faucet or American fridge, and on any installation where the tubing has to change axis in a confined space.

Fitting

Cut the tube square with a tube cutter, an angled or crushed cut lets water past the O-ring. Push fully home, then pull lightly to check engagement. To disconnect: shut off the water, depressurise, push the collet towards the fitting body and pull the tube out.

Check that the tube really is 3/8" and not 10 mm: the two diameters are close but not interchangeable, metric tubing in an imperial fitting leaks.
