Elbow fitting 3/8" tube × 3/8" stem

90° elbow combining a 3/8" push-fit tube connector with a 3/8" smooth stem. On one side the tube pushes fully home; on the other, the stem plugs directly into an existing 3/8" push-fit fitting.

How the smooth stem works

The stem is sized to the outside diameter of 3/8" tube: it plugs straight into a push-fit fitting, exactly as the tube itself would. Locking collet, seal, release by pressing the collar, the operation is identical.

The benefit: eliminating the very short length of tube between an appliance and an elbow. That few-centimetre offcut is hard to cut square, poorly supported, and a classic source of leaks. The stem replaces it with a rigid, compact joint.

Elbow plus stem: the fitting for tight spaces

This is the combination for when you need to turn 90° immediately out of a fitting, with not a centimetre of straight tube available: behind an appliance pressed against a partition, in an under-sink cupboard, at a tank outlet.

Polyethylene tubing copes badly with tight bend radii, forced, it goes oval, kinks, and the seal degrades close to the fitting. The elbow makes the change of direction with a constant bore and relieves the tube of all mechanical stress.

Where to use it

On the 3/8" lines of an RO or filtration installation: tank outlet, RO system feed, run to a dispensing tap, water cooler and coffee machine circuits.

Fitting

Cut the tube square with a proper tube cutter for a clean section, then push it fully home to the stop. Push the stem fully into the destination 3/8" fitting, then pull gently on both sides to confirm they have locked.

Pressurise and check for leaks before closing up the installation.
