Everpure PBS-400 replacement cartridge

Genuine cartridge for the Everpure PBS-400 drinking water filtration system. Manufacturer reference EV9270-86.

This is the consumable part of the system: the filter head stays on its bracket, only the cartridge is replaced.

The Everpure principle

Everpure built its reputation on a head + sealed cartridge architecture that differs markedly from the conventional bowl-type housing.

On a traditional housing you unscrew a bowl, handle bare media, manage an O-ring, clean a fouled sump. The Everpure cartridge is a sealed one-piece body: it unlocks with a twist, comes out, and the new one goes in with the same movement.

The benefits are concrete for a professional.

No tools. Replacement is done by hand, in under a minute.

No contact with the media. The filter media is never handled or exposed, which removes the risk of contamination during service, a structuring point in catering and institutional settings.

All wear parts renewed. The seals are part of the cartridge: every replacement renews all sealing points. On a conventional housing, the bowl O-ring stays in place until it leaks.

Why fit a genuine cartridge

The media, internal geometry and sealing faces are dimensioned for the PBS-400 head. An aftermarket cartridge may lock into place without delivering the same filtration performance or pressure rating.

On a professional installation, where the unit runs continuously and water quality is the operator's responsibility, the genuine cartridge is the only one that preserves the system's validated performance.

Where it is found

The PBS-400 equips drinking water draw-off points: catering stations, coffee and ice machines, water coolers, and high-end domestic installations. Anywhere the taste of the water and the protection of downstream equipment matter.

Replacement

Follow the replacement interval specified by Everpure for the PBS-400, or replace sooner if the flow drops or the taste deteriorates, two signs of media reaching end of life.

Do not stretch beyond that: saturated media stops improving the water, and the installation keeps running with nothing to flag it.

Fitting

Shut off the water and depressurise before servicing. Unlock the used cartridge with a twist, remove it, insert the new one and lock it.

Repressurise slowly, check for leaks at the head, then flush for a few minutes before use to clear air and residual fines.
