Ecosoft Core 250 compact water softener - 24 L resin - ref. ECO-FU1024CABDVCR

ECOSOFT Core 250 — water softening by Ecosoft

The ECOSOFT Core 250 water softener is designed for apartments and family homes. It removes hardness (limescale) responsible for scaling in pipes, water heaters and household appliances, delivering soft water that is gentler on skin, more energy-efficient and reduces consumption of cleaning products. It relies on food-grade ion exchange resin and an Ecosoft DV ceramic disc valve, guaranteeing reliability and longevity.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium ions and exchanges them for sodium: water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically triggers regeneration with brine (water + salt), controlled by volume to consume only the salt and water strictly necessary.

Technical specifications

Daily benefits

• Protection of water heater, pipes and appliances against limescale.
• Optimised salt and water consumption thanks to volume-controlled regeneration.
• Softer skin and hair, softer laundry, reduced need for cleaning products.
• Compact format and refined finish, suitable for utility rooms, garages and cellars.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass allowing isolation for maintenance. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration time; maintenance is limited to salt top-ups and periodic checks. DIMM ensures availability of spare parts and technical support throughout the product's lifetime.

Why soften your water?

Hard water deposits limescale in pipes, hot water tanks and heating elements: energy consumption increases, appliances wear prematurely and fittings become scaled up. By removing hardness, the softener extends the life of equipment, reduces energy bills, decreases the use of soaps and detergents and makes water more pleasant for skin, hair and laundry. On heating systems, softened water limits scaling of heat exchangers and maintains efficiency over time.

The Ecosoft range

Ecosoft designs high-performance water softeners with controlled footprint and economical operation. FRP composite tanks, selected resins, proven valves and volume-controlled regeneration: each model aims for stable performance and minimal salt and water consumption. From compact format for apartments to high-capacity systems for large homes, the range covers mains water as well as well water.

Quality & compliance

Components in contact with drinking water compliant (food-grade materials, EPDM seals), FRP body and tank resistant to pressure, CE design. Each Ecosoft water softener is factory-tested for reliable and durable operation, and benefits from DIMM's warranty and after-sales service network in Belgium and France.

Regeneration salt & consumables

The water softener operates with regeneration salt in pellet form, to be added to the tank when the level drops. Depending on your water hardness and consumption, plan for regular replenishment; periodic resin cleaner extends performance. DIMM supplies salt, connection kits, hoses and maintenance parts compatible with associated products, to keep your installation in top condition.
