CLACK Aurora water softener, 25 L of resin

The CLACK Aurora softener is a compact all-in-one model (resin and salt tank integrated) designed for apartments and individual homes. It removes hardness (limescale) responsible for scaling in water heaters, pipework and appliances, for softer water that is more pleasant for skin, hair and laundry, and more economical in energy and cleaning products. It combines a food-grade ion exchange resin and a Clack WS1 valve, the world reference for reliability.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically initiates regeneration with brine (water + salt), controlled by volume to consume only the salt and water strictly necessary.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass allowing isolation for maintenance. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration time; maintenance is limited to salt refilling and periodic inspection. DIMM ensures the availability of spare parts and technical support throughout the life of the installation.

Choosing the right capacity

The correct resin volume depends on your water hardness (°TH) and the number of people in the household. An undersized model regenerates too frequently; a properly sized model spaces out regenerations and optimises salt consumption. If in doubt, our technicians will help you select the capacity best suited to your installation and consumption.

Salt & consumables

The softener operates with regeneration salt in pellet form, to be maintained in the tank. Depending on hardness and consumption, plan for appropriate replenishment and periodic resin cleaner. DIMM offers salt, hoses, fittings and maintenance parts compatible with associated products.
