Orange polyethylene tubing 10 mm, sold by the metre

Connection tubing in polyethylene, 10 mm outside diameter, in orange. It pushes straight into push-fit fittings to the 10 mm metric standard, with no glue and no special tooling.

Metric 10 mm, not 3/8"

Do not confuse the two: 10 mm metric and 3/8" (9.52 mm) are separate standards. A 0.5 mm difference is enough to compromise the seal of a push-fit fitting, the tube seems to hold, but the collet does not grip properly and the leak shows up under pressure. Check the standard of your fittings before ordering.

Colour identification

On an installation with several lines, colour prevents connection errors at assembly and during any later servicing. Orange is highly visible and is usually assigned to one specific line according to the convention adopted on site: define it and apply it consistently across the whole installation.

Sold by the metre

Sale by the metre suits repairs, short runs and site top-ups, without opening a full roll. For installations in series, the roll remains more economical per metre.

Installation

Cut the tubing square with a proper tube cutter for a clean section, then push it fully into the fitting up to the stop. Avoid tight bend radii close to fittings and keep the tubing away from heat sources. On a run exposed to light, choose black tubing instead, which prevents algae growth.
