Monobloc Séduction Petit, Trappe à Sel, Capot Bleu (pour Vannes Logix), ref. PENT-KD01WJA-001

Overview

The Séduction is a cabinet (monobloc) softener: the pressurised resin vessel and the salt compartment sit in a single compact unit. This all-in-one layout simplifies installation and footprint, with direct access to the salt tank for easy level checking and refilling. Monobloc Séduction Petit, trappe à sel, capot bleu (pour vannes Logix).

Monobloc principle

In a monobloc, hard water passes through the ion-exchange resin housed in the integrated vessel; the valve drives regeneration by drawing the brine prepared in the cabinet's salt compartment. The whole forms a complete treatment line, softening and brining, in a reduced footprint, ideal where space is tight (utility room, under-sink, plant room).

Design & ergonomics

The cabinet uses tough polymers (ABS/PE) for robustness and longevity. The wide salt hatch and lid ease refilling; some versions offer visual access to the valve display, a translucent lid or a base that collects condensation. Separating the pressure vessel from the brine reservoir limits salt bridging and maintains a high hygiene level.

Valve & compatibility

Depending on version, the monobloc accepts Logix/Autotrol or Fleck-compatible valves, in metered or timed control. The valve choice sets flow rates, water and salt consumption and control options. Check the resin vessel and valve tied to the reference to ensure compatibility and expected performance.

Dimensions & installation

Equipment dimensions: 31.0 × 42.5 × 68.0 cm (L×W×H). Provide supply, drain to sewer and a nearby power socket. Install on a flat, frost-free floor. Refilling is via the top hatch; periodically check the salt level and avoid salt bridges for reliable regeneration.

Salt & water savings

The monobloc format reduces material and packaging use compared with a two-piece solution, and its well-designed salt compartment supports controlled salt consumption. Metered regeneration only triggers a cycle when needed, limiting water and brine discharge. Durable materials and simple maintenance extend the appliance's life, for more frugal softening.

Choosing right

To choose well, set the water hardness, number of draw-off points and peak flow, then check the vessel size (17'' or 35''), valve type (Logix/Autotrol or Fleck) and available space. Versions with floor, base and chimney ease maintenance. If unsure, the DIMM team will help you select the best configuration.

Good to know

Salt type affects performance: use softener tablets and monitor the level via the hatch. A salt bridge can distort regeneration: periodically check dissolution. Program the valve to the actual hardness and consumption to avoid overly frequent regenerations. Simple, regular maintenance ensures stable softened water and maximum appliance life.
