Steel Hose Clamp W1 12-20 mm Band 9 mm | Profec

Steel hose clamp W1, 12-20 mm, 9 mm band

Profec worm drive clamp, clamping range 12 to 20 mm, band width 9 mm. It holds flexible hoses and tubing tight on a barbed tail or olive.

What "W1" means

The W classification describes the clamp's materials, not its size:

• W1, band, housing and screw in zinc plated steel. General indoor and dry environment use.
• W2, stainless band, zinc plated steel screw.
• W4, fully stainless steel, for outdoor use, permanent damp and food applications.

W1 is the economical standard. In a damp plant room, outdoors, or on an exposed drinking water installation, choose W4 instead.

Tightening

The 9 mm band spreads the load properly without cutting into the hose. Tighten with a spanner or screwdriver to firm contact, without overdoing it: excessive torque shears soft hose and distorts the band. Re-check tightness after a few pressure cycles, as flexible material tends to creep.
