Overview

Bottle filter filled with Ecomix multilayer media, on Clack valve (ref. ART158351). This filtration station provides multi-parameter treatment (softening, iron, ammonia), at point of entry to protect the entire installation. Supplied ready to install (filled bottle + valve + distribution), it treats mains water, well water or borehole water.

Filtration principle

Ecomix is an all-in-one multilayer media that combines softening, iron/manganese removal and reduction of ammonia and organic matter. Regenerated with salt like a water softener, it treats multiple parameters in a single bottle, ideal for multi-problem well or borehole water.

Ecomix media

The bottle is filled with Ecomix multilayer media on a gravel/flint support bed that distributes water and retains fines. Depending on the media, the bed is backwashed (charcoal/Ecomix) or recharged when consumed (calcite/Corosex/Everzit), to maintain performance over time.

Valve & operation

The Clack valve automatically controls cycles: service (filtration), backwash, rinse and return to service (and salt regeneration for Ecomix). Triggering is time-based or volume-based depending on the model; an integrated bypass isolates the filter without cutting off water.

Sizing & installation

Choose the size according to peak flow rate and water quality. Provide a drain connection for backwash and electrical supply for the valve. Install in a frost-free location, on level ground; an upstream sediment prefilter is recommended to protect the media.

Economy & ecology

Treating water at point of entry protects the entire installation: less corrosion (pH correction), more pleasant water (charcoal) and preserved equipment, therefore fewer replacements and maintenance. Backwashing uses only water (and salt for Ecomix), with no polluting additives: effective treatment that respects the resource.

Media is chosen according to water analysis: charcoal for taste and chlorine, calcite/Corosex to raise aggressive pH, Ecomix for multi-problem well water. Plan for backwashing (sufficient flow rate and drainage) and, for pH correction media, periodic level checking and recharging as they are consumed. An upstream sediment prefilter protects the media and spaces out backwashes, while regular water analysis allows you to adjust the valve setting.
