1" high-flow distributor - 1,10 m

1" distributor tube (riser) in high-flow version, 1,10 m long, for Fleck 2510, 2750, 9000 and 9100 valves. Reference PDF-27827-DW.

What a distributor does

It is the invisible but critical part of a softener or media filter. The distributor is the central tube running to the bottom of the tank, ending in a strainer basket.

It performs two opposite functions depending on the operating phase.

In service, water enters at the top of the tank, passes down through the resin or media bed, then rises back up the distributor to the valve outlet. The basket holds the media back: it is what keeps resin out of the network.

In regeneration, the direction reverses. Water travels down the distributor and rises back through the bed, loosening and redistributing the media (backwash). An undersized distributor or a partly blocked basket degrades this phase, and a degraded regeneration means a softener that loses capacity gradually with no visible fault.

The high-flow version

The high-flow distributor offers a more generous flow section than the standard version. In practice this means lower pressure drop at high flow.

That matters on demanding installations: several simultaneous draw-off points, high peak flow, or media requiring a strong backwash rate in regeneration. In these configurations a standard riser becomes the limiting point of the whole unit.

Compatibility

Designed for Fleck 2510, 2750, 9000 and 9100 valves, the 1" diameter matches the standard riser of these valve bodies.

The 1,10 m length must match the tank height: the basket has to rest on the bottom and the top of the tube sit flush with the neck. Check your tank height before ordering.

Fitting

Position the distributor before loading the media, basket down, and plug the top opening of the tube during filling, resin that falls into the riser goes straight into the network at first commissioning.

Check that the tube is properly centred and vertical, and protrudes at the right height to seat in the valve. Inspect the riser O-ring at the valve: that is where the internal leaks occur that send untreated water straight to the outlet.
