The industrial water softener Fleck 3900 NXT (dual-unit configuration (tank + separate brine tank)) is designed for municipalities, tertiary sector, hospitality, industry and process applications (boiler rooms, cooling towers, laundries, food and beverage). It removes hardness (calcium and magnesium) responsible for scaling in heat exchangers, boilers, pipework and equipment, to protect installations, reduce energy consumption and secure processes. It is based on quality ion exchange resin and a Fleck 3900 NXT valve with advanced electronic NXT controller enabling multiple valve networking and multi-tank management.

Configuration

In dual-unit configuration, the resin tank and brine tank are separate, for flexible integration in the plant room and easy maintenance.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: water exits softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve initiates brine regeneration (water + salt), counter-current to softened water on relevant models, to fully restore exchange capacity whilst optimising salt and water consumption.

Installation & sizing

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with isolation bypass for maintenance. Sizing depends on inlet hardness (°TH), peak flow and daily volume to be treated: our technicians help you select the appropriate model and resin volume, as well as options (meter, mixing valve, brine tank, floor support, gravel bed).

Quality & durability

High-pressure composite tank (PPO / reinforced fibre) resistant to corrosion, valve body in lead-free brass compliant with ROHS and REACH on brass models, selected ion exchange resin. Counter-current regeneration to softened water on relevant ranges, for a clean system and reduced maintenance. Design proven for intensive industrial service.

Application areas

This industrial water softener is intended for high-consumption networks: collective hot water production, steam boiler and heating circuit supply, cooling towers, laundries and laundry services, food and beverage, cosmetics, surface treatment and pre-treatment before reverse osmosis or demineralisation. Salt, gravel & consumables

The water softener operates with regeneration salt (pellets) held in the brine tank. A gravel bed (support layer) is provided on large tanks for flow distribution. DIMM supplies salt, gravel, ACS stainless steel hoses, meters, mixing valves, cartridges and maintenance parts compatible with associated products.
