The industrial water softener Fleck 2910 SXT (dual-tank configuration (vessel + separate brine tank)) is designed for municipalities, tertiary sector, hospitality, industry and processes (boiler rooms, cooling towers, laundries, food and beverage). It removes hardness (calcium and magnesium) responsible for scaling in heat exchangers, boilers, pipework and equipment, to protect installations, reduce energy consumption and secure processes. It is based on quality ion-exchange resin and a Fleck 2910 SXT valve with SXT electronic controller featuring digital display and intuitive cycle programming.

Configuration

In dual-tank configuration, the resin vessel and brine tank are separate, for flexible integration in plant rooms and easy maintenance.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: water exits softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve initiates regeneration with brine (water + salt), counter-current to softened water on relevant models, to fully restore exchange capacity whilst optimising salt and water consumption.

Installation & sizing

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with isolation bypass for maintenance. Sizing depends on inlet hardness (°TH), peak flow rate and daily volume to be treated: our technicians help you select the appropriate model and resin volume, as well as options (meter, mixing valve, brine tank, floor stand, gravel).

Quality & durability

High-pressure composite vessel (PPO / reinforced fibre) resistant to corrosion, valve body in lead-free brass compliant with ROHS and REACH on brass models, selected ion-exchange resin. Counter-current regeneration to softened water on relevant ranges, for a clean system and reduced maintenance. Design proven for intensive industrial service.

Application areas

Salt, gravel & consumables

The water softener operates with regeneration salt (pellets) held in the brine tank. A gravel bed (support medium) is provided on large vessels for flow distribution.
