Overview

This semi-automatic sediment filter is designed for mains water. It is installed inline at the point of entry to the system and protects plumbing and equipment against particles carried by the network: sand, rust, pipe debris. It is equipped with a pressure gauge to monitor pressure at a glance.

Semi-automatic rinsing principle

Water passes through the stainless steel cartridge, which stops solid particles. When it becomes clogged, rinsing is triggered by a simple operation: deposits are sent to the drain without dismantling. The stainless steel cartridge is washable and reusable, so there is no consumable to replace at each service.

The benefit of the pressure gauge

The pressure gauge continuously displays the pressure in the filter. A drop from the usual value indicates that the cartridge is becoming clogged and it is time to rinse. It also serves to check the network pressure, useful for diagnosing an installation.

Stainless steel SS316L

316L stainless steel is a low-carbon stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion. It maintains its mechanical strength through rinsing cycles, ensuring long service life of the cartridge, without deformation of the filter mesh.

Installation

The filter is installed just after the water meter, upstream of the softener, water heater and equipment to be protected. Provide a drain for rinsing water and leave clear access for operation and pressure gauge reading. Install away from frost.

Choosing correctly

This filter is suitable for homes and small buildings supplied by the public network, up to 3 m³/h. It removes sediments but does not treat taste, chlorine or hardness: it can be complemented if necessary by a carbon filter or a softener.
