Overview

The Cintropur NW 500 is a sediment filter designed to protect industrial, collective and agricultural installations with high flow rates. It removes soil, sand, rust and other suspended particles from water. It connects to a 2" pipe and is suitable for mains water as well as well or borehole water.

Filtration principle

Incoming water passes through the Cintropur helix, which transforms the flow into a centrifugal motion. This cyclonic effect precipitates the heaviest particles to the bottom of the bowl before they even reach the screen. The filter screen then ensures final filtration, according to the chosen fineness. This centrifugal pre-filtration relieves the screen and extends its service life.

Installation

The filter is mounted at the entry point, upstream of the equipment to be protected: water softener, reverse osmosis unit, UV steriliser, pumps, valves and appliances. Install in a frost-free location, leaving enough space under the bowl for draining and screen replacement. A stainless steel wall bracket is available as an accessory.

Maintenance

The bowl transparency indicates when the screen needs to be replaced. Heavy deposits are regularly evacuated through the bottom drain. Screen replacement takes just a few minutes.

Choosing the right model

The NW 500 covers 2" installations. For higher flow rates, the Cintropur range continues with the NW 650 and NW 800. Screen fineness is chosen according to the nature and size of particles to be retained. The DIMM team will help you size the filter and select the appropriate screen.
