Overview

The Aqua AP Pro Plus is a self-cleaning sediment filter that is installed inline on the water network, at point of entry. Its 1" 1/4 connection makes it suitable for installations with sustained flow rates: large residential properties, small multi-unit buildings, commercial applications or installations fed by a well or borehole.

Operating principle

Water passes through a filter screen that traps solid particles: sand, rust, soil, pipe debris. Unlike a standard filter housing, the screen is not disposable. It is cleaned by rinsing, and deposits are evacuated through the drain valve, without removing the filter.

Installation

The filter is installed inline, just after the meter or pump and upstream of all equipment to be protected. Provide a drain outlet under the purge valve to evacuate rinsing water, and leave clear access for maintenance. Install in a frost-protected location.

Maintenance

Rinse the screen as soon as flow rate drops or deposits become visible. Frequency depends on the particle load in the water. On well or borehole water with high sediment content, regular rinsing maintains constant flow rate.

Choosing the right product

The self-cleaning filter is suitable for retaining sediments. It does not treat taste, chlorine or hardness: it should be complemented downstream by a carbon filter, a water softener or a reverse osmosis unit.
