Fleck 5800 Myra water softener, 16 L resin

The Fleck 5800 Myra softener is a compact all-in-one model (integrated resin and salt tank) designed for apartments and individual homes. It removes hardness (limescale) responsible for scaling in water heaters, pipes and appliances, for softer water that is more pleasant for skin, hair and laundry, and more economical in energy and maintenance products. It combines food-grade ion exchange resin and a Fleck 5800 valve with XTR volumetric electronic controller. White finish with refined design, which fits into a utility room as well as a living space.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: water comes out softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically launches regeneration with brine (water + salt), controlled by volume to consume only the salt and water strictly necessary.

Installation & maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass allowing isolation for maintenance. Commissioning consists of setting the inlet hardness and regeneration time; maintenance is limited to salt refilling and periodic inspection. DIMM ensures the availability of spare parts and technical support throughout the life of the installation.

Choosing the right capacity

The right resin volume depends on your water hardness (°TH) and the number of people in the household. An undersized model regenerates too often; a well-chosen model spaces out regenerations and optimises salt consumption.
