Water softener Clack WS1CI Aurora 10 L

The Aurora softener is an all-in-one monobloc unit with resin tank and salt tank integrated into a single housing, designed for apartments and individual homes. It reduces water hardness, which is responsible for scale buildup in hot water tanks, pipework and household appliances. Food-grade ion exchange resin and Clack WS1CI valve with volumetric regeneration. Blue cap and white tank.

Operation

Hard water passes through the resin bed, which captures calcium and magnesium and exchanges them for sodium: the water emerges softened. When the resin is saturated, the valve automatically triggers brine regeneration. Triggering is volumetric, so indexed to the volume of water actually consumed: the unit only regenerates when necessary, and consumes salt and water accordingly.

Why soften water

Hard water deposits scale in pipework, tanks and heating elements. Energy consumption increases, appliances wear out faster and taps become scaled up. By reducing hardness, the softener extends the life of equipment, limits excess energy consumption linked to scale and reduces the quantities of soaps and detergents required.

The Aurora range

Installation and maintenance

The unit is installed on the main water inlet, after the meter, with a bypass that allows it to be isolated for maintenance without cutting off the home's water supply. Commissioning involves setting the inlet hardness and regeneration parameters. Routine maintenance is limited to refilling the salt tank and periodic checks. Dual safety protects against tank overflow. DIMM ensures the availability of spare parts and technical support.

Choosing the right capacity

Resin volume is selected according to water hardness in °fH and the number of people in the household. An undersized unit regenerates too frequently, which wears out the resin and increases salt consumption. The 10 L covers an apartment or small household. DIMM teams support installers with sizing.

Salt and consumables
